We're varying the terms of our Funeral Service Licence agreements

NOTICE OF VARIATION OF LICENCE AGREEMENTS

DATED 30th day of September 2024 

Please TAKE NOTICE that APRA New Zealand, trading as OneMusic New Zealand together with Recorded Music New Zealand, is varying the terms of its Funeral Service Licence Agreements.

Under the terms of what the Funeral Services licence allows you to do, where it previously stated that the Funeral Services licence allows you to:

Reproduce and communicate Music as part of a Funeral Service for live, on-demand or time-delayed streaming over a Website (for a period of 60 days) for the comfort and convenience of those either physically or geographically unable to attend the Funeral Service in person.

Has now been varied to extend the 60 days to a period of 12 months. From 1 November 2024 the wording will read:

Reproduce and communicate Music as part of a Funeral Service for live, on-demand or time-delayed streaming over a Website (for a period of 12 months) for the comfort and convenience of those either physically or geographically unable to attend the Funeral Service in person.

This variation will come into effect on 1 November 2024.
